This isn't my first Riptide. I'm moved the 90mm ABEC11's over and it's even better than the first. If it weren't easy to put the ABEC11's on it, I would hold back a star. IMHO it needs the ABEC's to ride smooth enough for my taste; but I'm very picky in that regard.

I’m absolutely in love with this convenient and fun way of motor transportation. The design and feel of the board is of high quality from deck to wheels while in a light and portable form factor. I’m in love with my purchase and can’t wait for more accessories and support from the Ripe Riptide Team!
It’s fast, turns tight and brakes well. Had to get used to a slightly different stance (more forward leaning) because it’s a short board, but after that brief learning curve it was 100% fun!

I skated a little bit when I was a kid. I spent an hour or so in beginner mode and was able to be in expert mode full-time shortly there after. It has turned my commute – something I used to hate – into something I now love.
Love my R1X. It brings back memories cruising down the boardwalk with ease. Easy to zip through the crowds. I can even Ollie curbs. Great board all around.
